Avance Logic, Inc. AC97 Driver. This one finally worked for eMachines C1844 onbd Sound on XP. Multimedia Audio Controller will not automatically install. You must then choose Avance AC97 device from list. It is supposed to work with all Windows versions. It came from Tyan MOBO driver install CD.
