Crystal Semiconductors CS-4299 used in HP Pavilions Driver. This is the contents of the AUDIO folder from a HP restore disk labeled Part #HP5012-0423. Not sure which HP models this applies to but anyway this is the sound card driver for onboard sound chips Crystal 4299 dated around August 1999. Unzip file to a temp folder. You will have 2 sub-folders.
File Contents: 1: Crystal Crystalwave Synthesizer_2066 (and a sub-folder under it named Cssynth)
2: Crystal Sound_1999
The Crystalwave Synthesizer folder has a exe file (not sure what it's purpose is but I suspect it important to have/use).
And the sound card drivers are in the folder: Crystal Sound_1999.
Be sure to click the add hardware icon in Control Panel to install this sound driver. When prompted click have disk and point to this folder.
